Questions & Answers
Q:
I paid you $21.73 on May 10th through my internet banking. I was told I was paid up until June 10th. For the past week, I have not been able to access my ancestry account with you. I keep getting the ''sign up for free trial period'' stuff. Also, when I go to my ''order history'', as I have done many times, the $21.73 you withdrew from my banking account,on May10th, is not listed, nowhere, in my order history. Come on now, I am paid up until June 10th, so, give me access to my account. I am trying to be pleasant but this has been a horrible experience, dealing with ancestry.
Rip off site, keep your hands off this site and let others know too.

Q:
I've been trying for the longest while now to connect my husband's family tree to mine... you know, since we're married and I'd like them to be linked. This seems to be impossible...I can't figure it out and ancestry help is less than helpful. They have me signing up for a bunch of other family tree sites and I still can't get our trees linked! Does anyone know a simple way for me to do this?
Sarah, I am sorry that you are having such a difficult time with Ancestry.com. If you are serious about your family tree the best place to go is Wikitree.com They require that you cite your sources. When you start entering your family, you have to enter where you got the information. Birth certificate, death certificate, census records, etc. It is a great way to find your family tree. It is free. Other members help you with your search. You do have to be serious about your search otherwise you won't get very far. Go to Wikitree.com and look into it first Explore the website and see if it is for you. The best part is that other people who have experience with geneaology research are willing to help. And that it is free is just a nice perk considering that Ancestry and the My Heritage charge astronomical prices. Good luck Sarah.

Q:
Can some of the records about families be inaccurate? Meaning people latching onto other families, or trying to hide non-white ancestry by putting "white"?
Yes - anyone can enter any data into the site. Therefore, while what you enter about your family might be accurate, a random person not even related to you could completely corrupt your entire family tree.

Q:
I find the new format cluttered and not user-friendly. I want to go back to the old format. How do I do that?
I believe you can remove your account number (Visa or MC) from your profile and advise your bank to not process this subscription renewal as you have attempted to cancel to no avail. Hope it works as I will be doing it soon as well.

The suggestions posted should be sufficient to cancel or have the bank do it.

You can not. They are working in connection with the Family Life Center, affiliated with the Church of LDS. OR ATLEAST THAT I WAS TOLD when I ask I'd the NEW OWNERS were the Church of LDS. The new owners have decided to do things differently.
